Job Overview

We are seeking a flexible and knowledgeable Nails Teacher to serve as a substitute instructor. In this role, you will temporarily cover classes in nail technology, delivering instruction on manicure, pedicure, nail art, health and sanitation, and other essential skills. You will maintain continuity of education and ensure a positive learning environment for students during the regular instructor’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective instructional support by delivering lessons aligned with the existing curriculum.
• Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on training in nail technology.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback where appropriate.
• Maintain classroom order and encourage student participation and creativity.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, as well as school policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and administration regarding class progress and issues.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Valid Cosmetology License and Nail Technician License in the state of Indiana.
• Beauty of Culture Educator License is preferred or must be willing to obtain.
• Experience working in the nail industry, demonstrating proficiency in nail care techniques.
• Prior teaching or instructing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a substitute teaching role.
• Availability to work on short notice as needed.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $22.00 and $24.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
