We are seeking a Client Engagement Specialist to join our growing team and serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This is a sales-focused, non-attorney position that plays a critical role in helping individuals take the first step toward securing legal representation.

As a Client Engagement Specialist (CES), you will guide prospective clients through the consultation and hiring process, helping them determine whether Hembree Bell Law is the right fit for their needs. You will be responsible for conducting consultations, building trust with potential clients, managing follow-up communications, and converting qualified leads into retained clients.

The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a strong sales background, exceptional emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to build rapport and close opportunities in high-emotion situations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients.
  • Conduct consultations to assess client needs and determine whether the Firm is the right fit.
  • Guide prospective clients through the Firm's engagement process.
  • Convert qualified leads into retained clients through a structured and consultative sales process.
  • Manage and maintain lead pipelines within HubSpot CRM.
  • Execute consistent follow-up strategies with prospective clients.
  • Track consultation-to-retention conversion metrics and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure all prospective client interactions, notes, and next steps are accurately documented.
  • Coordinate with the Intake Specialist to schedule strategy sessions, consultations, and case evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate intake records and ensure seamless handoff to the legal team.
  • Re-engage missed consultations and unretained prospects when appropriate.
  • Make reminder calls and send appointment communications to maximize consultation attendance.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, team meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all Firm policies regarding the unauthorized practice of law and refrain from providing legal advice.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of sales, intake, client engagement, or consultative sales experience required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Experience in legal services, professional services, healthcare, financial services, or other high-emotion service industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with prospective clients experiencing stressful life situations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-up habits.
  • Comfortable working with KPIs, conversion metrics, and sales goals.
  • Able to manage multiple prospective clients simultaneously without opportunities falling through the cracks.
  • Coachable and open to ongoing training, feedback, and professional development.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to communicate effectively with individuals experiencing stressful and emotionally charged circumstances.
