As our Senior Manager, Retail Strategy and Marketing, you play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Trail Blazers retail business. You’ll lead business strategies that support growth across digital and in-arena platforms, own the retail marketing narrative, build integrated campaigns that deepen fan connection, and ensure our product stories show up consistently across every touchpoint.
This role sits at the intersection of business, marketing, brand and execution. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to align priorities, influence decision-making, and guide complex initiatives from concept through launch. Your work will directly shape how fans experience our retail brand and how the business grows.

DAY-TO-DAY
- Lead executive retail reviews and communications, developing presentations and content that communicate retail performance, key challenges, opportunities, and long-term vision.
- Partner with the retail buyer to evaluate product lines, inform assortment and sell-through strategies, identify future product opportunities and support special collections and retail programs.
- Lead the development and execution of retail marketing strategies and integrated campaigns that drive revenue growth across in-the-arena and digital channels, including seasonal initiatives, product launches, and other key retail programs.
- Facilitate annual planning and cross-functional retail initiatives, including the Retail Off-Site, aligning department goals, timelines, and priorities across marketing, creative, product, and operations teams.
- Provide strategic leadership for RipCityClothing.com, overseeing product launches, promotions, customer experience, and conversion optimization in partnership with the E-commerce Manager.
- Lead retail content and storytelling initiatives, including photography planning, influencer partnerships, and locally inspired product collaborations that strengthen brand relevance and fan engagement.
- Serve as primary liaison between Brand, Retail Operations, E-commerce, and Creative, ensuring alignment and execution of campaign goals.
- Oversee retail marketing-related budgets, timelines, and day-to-day collaboration with vendor/partner relationships including Rank + Rally.
- Lead internal retail product requests from intake through fulfillment, partnering with Rank + Rally to evaluate feasibility, prioritize opportunities, and execute successful outcomes.
- Partner with BI, Customer Insights and Digital teams to run ongoing sales data collection and reporting, and evaluate campaign and site performance using data-driven insights to inform future efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Retail Marketing Coordinator while providing oversight and guidance to the E-Commerce Manager.
- Support broader organizational marketing initiatives, including ticketing, brand, and fan engagement campaigns, as business needs evolve.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE :
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in retail strategy, business planning, or integrated channel management, with a strong foundation in both digital and physical retail.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional projects and mentoring team members.
- A track record of developing and delivering retail marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels.
- A strong understanding of e-commerce operations, digital content, and the online customer journey.
- Strong project management, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using data to measure performance, optimize campaigns, and inform business decisions.
- A creative, customer-focused approach, with a passion for brand storytelling and fan engagement.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game nights.
WE’D BE THRILLED IF YOU ALSO HAVE
- Knowledge of Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with influencer or creator partnerships.
- Familiarity with lifestyle and streetwear retail.
- Fluency with email marketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar).
