Loan Processors act as the intermediary between lenders and borrowers with a hand in front- and back-end loan-processing actions. The successful candidate will have some lending experience, analytical and logistical thinking skills, comfort with financial figures and detailed documentation, customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills.
Salary: $25.42/hour minimum. Job/salary offer would be commensurate with job level and experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Reviews mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation received from department and branch mortgage loan originators confirming the most suitable loan program has been selected for the borrower, orders additional supporting documentation from borrower and other applicable parties required by investor guidelines and bank policy.
- Reviews and analyzes documentation for accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines and bank policy; prepares written analysis of income; identifies exceptions to investor guidelines and prepares summaries of compensating factors.
- Independently reviews and processes complex conventional and government-secured mortgage loans by utilizing online processing software programs, researches online investor guidelines to determine the most appropriate course of action.
- Assists originating and processing personnel with income analysis and investor guidelines/bank policy questions.
- Ensures completeness of applications and accuracy of supporting documentation by directly communicating with borrowers, sellers and real estate agents involved in the loan application process and keeps them, along with the originator, current on the progress.
- Prepares loan application files for closing by ordering closing documents and reviewing supporting documentation to identify anomalies.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field and two years’ loan processing, originating, or closing experience; or four years’ real estate, commercial lending, or related experience, of which two years must be loan processing, originating, or closing experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience including two years loan processing, originating, or closing experience. Demonstrated working knowledge of FHA/VA, AHFC, FNMA, and other investor lending programs. Familiarity with tax returns and financial reports.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by sight and to keyboard 35 wpm required. Word processing and spreadsheet software experience required. Familiarity with tax returns and financial reports required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work basic mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING SKILLS
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables.
