We are TekPro Support Services, LLC (TSS), a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nation.

We are seeking Front Desk Operations Specialist to support a new mission with the Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration in Washington D.C.

What You'll Do

  • Receive, screen, and accurately route incoming telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Greet visitors, guests, and VIP personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escort visitors to designated meeting locations in accordance with FRA security procedures.
  • Monitor and track suspense dates, action items, and correspondence to ensure timely completion and response.
  • Maintain front-office operations and support daily administrative activities.
  • Manage office supply inventories and coordinate replenishment while promoting cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Respond to customer requests received by email, telephone, or in person.
  • Ensure customer inquiries are acknowledged within one business day and resolved or routed within three business days unless otherwise directed.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking systems as required.
  • Coordinate with government personnel to ensure efficient office operations and customer service delivery.
  • Handle difficult or sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative, executive support, customer service, or front-office experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership, visitors, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a federal government agency.
  • Experience with correspondence tracking, task management systems, and records management.
  • Familiarity with federal security and visitor escort procedures.
