Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, alternating weekends (weekend hours 7am - 3:30pm)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Fulfill Cafeteria opening and/or closing duties on assigned shift.

• Operate POS system during assigned meal periods to accurately ring up customer orders and accurately tender transactions.

• Prepare self service areas in cafeteria prior to the start of services.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers in common areas with in the cafeteria, complying with food safety regulations.

• Serve food in accordance with established portion sizes and presentation standards.

• Monitor and restock/replenish displays/merchandisers, disposables, and condiments before, after, and during services to ensure consistent availability for customers.

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to needs in a compassionate and professional manner.

• Comply with all local and federal food safety regulations.

• Complete prep tasks and production tasks as needed. or as assigned by Food Service Manager/Director.

• Performs all tasks as assigned by Food Service Manager/Director.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Food Service experience preferably in a hospital setting preferred.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have the State of Texas Food Handlers certification within 60 days of hire.
