Administrative Assistant
Department of Health and Human Services
Hourly Pay Range: $20.08 - $30.13
Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Office Support Assistant 2 provides overall front desk, reception, and clerical support to the Housing department.
Job Duties
- Meet and greet Section 8 walk-ins, connect them to assigned Housing Program Assistants, collect their paperwork and ensure completion as well as answer any questions. Assist all customers as needed.
- Complete monthly mailers for participants and landlord renewals. Assist with identifying Mobility Program families and complete mailers for program education.
- Review voicemails daily and process inquiries appropriately.
- Support data entry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Current resident of the state of Wisconsin
- Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least three (3) years of clerical and/or administrative experience is required.
Additional Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of office practices, principles, methods, and procedures; knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation; knowledge of the use of a personal computer; written and oral communication skills; organizational skills; proficiency in word processing and data entry; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to maintain records, files, and store items systematically; ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs as needed.
