Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Summary

The Coding Review Tech III is a third level role within the Coding Department of the Central Billing Office. This position plays a large role in the implementation and support of all applicable coding applications, including Epic, Solventum, Automated Coding, and any other resources. The Tech III is integral in performing departmental coding audits, and trains/mentors Coding Tech I’s & II’s in all coding related job functions. This position also reviews clinical documentation and applies appropriate billing and diagnostic codes using accepted guidelines, consistently exceeds the standard levels of productivity, and produces high quality audits. Furthermore, the role requires the individual to present themselves as a team player by demonstrating and following Baptist Health beliefs, mission and values.

Other Information

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 Years coding experience required.
  • CPC certification required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology with an in-depth understanding of ICD-10 CM and CPT Coding principles focusing on evaluation and management services.
  • Advanced knowledge of current standard billing practices as defined by AMA, as well as, the ability to interpret clinical data.
  • Advanced computer skills required.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
