Role Overview
This is a full-time Employee Benefits Sales Consultant with hybrid flexibility. In this role, you will manage an existing book of group benefits business while actively growing our portfolio through proactive marketing, cold calling, and referral development. This role is suited for a candidate that thrives in a client-facing environment and is passionate about helping businesses protect their employees. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing and servicing an existing group benefits book of business, ensuring high retention and client satisfaction
- Conducting regular account reviews and renewals with existing clients
- Driving new business growth through targeted marketing campaigns, cold calling, and networking
- Developing and working a referral pipeline from existing client relationships and community contacts
- Presenting and explaining group benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, life) to employers and employees
- Staying current on product offerings, carrier updates, compliance requirements, and industry trends
- Collaborating with internal team members to ensure seamless enrollment and onboarding experiences
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system
- Representing the agency at community events, industry associations, and networking functions
- Other duties may be assigned as needs arise or as required to support principal duties
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in group benefits or employee benefits consulting
- Active Life & Health Insurance license in the state of Texas
- Proven track record of client retention and business development
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software
Benefits
- $60,000 – $75,000 Base Salary + Commission
