HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Uptown Charlotte, NC area. All days and shifts are available on an as need basis! These positions offer a pay rate of $19.00/hr, with weekly pay.

Basic Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good customer service skills and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stay focus / alert in fast-paced environment
• Must be detail oriented
• Must have a professional and friendly demeanor
• Maintain exceptional attendance habit
• Basic computer skills
• Walking and standing for extended period of time
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Patrols university properties to keep the campus safe and secure
• Utilizes the access control software system to assist in maintaining building security
• Conducts follow-up investigations of incidents gathering additional information for preparing incident reports
• Enforces parking rules and guidelines on campus
• Performs dispatcher duties when assigned · Performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand and walk for entire work shifts
• Talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to climb, bend, crawl and lift and/or move (up to 25 pounds)
• Ability to run short distances
• Capability of using muscular force to defend oneself from physical attack or to come to the aid of others

Officer may occasionally be required to work overtime which may include coming in early or staying over later than the required shift as needed as well as weekends. Job description is subject to change based on client needs.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
