Job Summary

The Physical Security Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, oversight, and execution of the company’s physical security operations. This role provides operational leadership for contracted guard services and physical security programs, including incident response, investigations, access control, and site coordination. The position is focused on operational execution and oversight rather than policy development. This position also reports into the Information Security organization and works closely with Facilities, IT, HR, Travel, Legal, and business unit leadership.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and management of contracted security guard services, including post coverage, performance, and compliance with post orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security vendors and coordinate staffing, training, and issue resolution.
  • Lead and coordinate physical security incident response, investigations, and after-action reviews.
  • Monitor, review, and trend security incidents, guard reports, and operational metrics.
  • Oversee access control systems, security camera monitoring, alarms, and related physical security technologies in coordination with IT and Facilities.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs, security assessments, and operational audits to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, HR, Travel, Legal, Enterprise Technology, and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and real-world response as part of the incident management team.
  • Provide safety tour and safety orientation to new hires for Omaha.
  • Coordinate the safety floor coordinator duties and meetings for Omaha.
  • Ensure guard post orders and standard operating procedures are followed and kept current.
  • Prepare and deliver operational security updates and briefings to leadership.
  • Review daily guard activity reports, incident logs, and shift coverage.
  • Validate guard staffing levels and address coverage or performance issues.
  • Manage the crisis incident response plan and ensure it is kept updated and communicated to employees.
  • Coordinate and provide safety and security training to employees in partnership with HR.
  • Liaison with law enforcement and security contacts.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and escalations.
  • Perform site walkthroughs and maintain a visible security presence.
  • Ensure adequate security and safety measures are in place for off-site activities and events.
  • Coordinate access changes, investigations, and follow-up actions.

Basic Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in physical security, security operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing or overseeing contract security guard services.
  • Strong working knowledge of access control systems, security camera monitoring, alarms, and physical security operations.
  • Experience with incident response, investigations, and coordination with law enforcement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Requirements

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification required or in progress.
  • Additional security or emergency management certifications are a plus.
