Beer, Wine, and Spirits Lead at Aureate Development
Position Summary
The Beer, Wine, and Spirits Lead (ABL) oversees the store's beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic cocktail operations. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring the market departments are well-stocked, organized and visually appealing. The Adult Beverages Lead also serves as the primary supervisor of the adjacent Totum Liquor Store. The ABL will play a key role in ensuring that Totum Market and Eatery and Totum Liquor Store have an on-trend and highly relevant product selection and a staff equipped with the knowledge to sell it.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with vendor partners to maintain optimal stock levels and an on-trend product mix.
- Work with vendor partners to set up regular product demonstrations to help drive sales and traffic.
- Develop and maintain attractive merchandising displays and seasonal features.
- Maintain department conditions, including cleanliness, organization, signage, and product presentation.
- Train staff members on product knowledge, customer service, and responsible alcohol sales practices.
- Ensure compliance with ATF and local regulatory policies.
- Collaborate with store leadership on department goals, promotions, and operational strategies.
- Analyze daily and weekly reports to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as Manager‑on‑Duty (MOD) as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or beverage category experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and beverage trends strongly preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills preferred.
- Passion for craft beverages, emerging brands, and customer education preferred.
- High school diploma required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, kitchens)

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $27.00
