Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Position Overview

The Game Presentation Assistant works as an integral member of the Game Presentation department to learn, plan, organize, and execute an array of elements necessary for the in-game entertainment of all Barracuda home games including assisting with the organization of all summer community events and volunteering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparations and execution of all San Jose Barracuda home games.
  • Work with Game Presentation team to help develop scripts and rundowns for all home games
  • Act as a liaison for part-time employees regarding scheduling.
  • Execute pre-game preparation and set up for various promotions and theme nights.
  • Support Staff and Riptide in all pre-game or post-game events as assigned, support staffing in almost all community events.
  • Help organize and execute game night promotions and activations.
  • Contribute to creation of game night elements and promotions.
  • Research new fan engagement to enhance in-game presentation.
  • Assist with events in and out of the arena when necessary, such as community planning, community execution and volunteer events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree in broadcasting, sports management, communication, TV production, journalism, or related fields
  • Candidates should be innovative, proven self-starters; independent, energetic, and organized while possessing excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and writing skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Physically navigate stairs at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
  • Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
  • May be required to travel to other company locations
  • May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
