The Parts Supervisor oversees the operations of the warehouse functions (shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory management and order filling) in an efficient and safe manner. This includes the coordination of day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including providing leadership, motivation, and training of warehouse team members, direct delegation and supervision of assignments as well as ensuring a uniform and efficient workflow. This position is also responsible for administration and evaluation of profitable short and long term objectives of the warehouse operations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a frontline operational leader within Parts Operations with responsibility for daily workflow execution, team supervision, inventory management, customer support, and operational performance at the assigned location.
  • Support daily Parts Operations activities with primary focus on operational effectiveness, workflow coordination, inventory accuracy, customer responsiveness, and execution of departmental objectives and company standards.
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting performance against key operational and financial KPIs, including:
  • Customer service responsiveness
  • Inventory accuracy and fill rates
  • Workflow efficiency and productivity
  • Inventory turns and obsolescence reduction
  • Sales support and departmental performance
  • Employee productivity and operational consistency
  • Safety and compliance standards
  • Coordinate daily operational activities for Parts Operations personnel to ensure efficient workflow execution, timely customer support, inventory integrity, and alignment with established operational processes and service expectations.
  • Support inventory management activities including receiving, stocking, cycle counts, inventory organization, order processing, and inventory accuracy while assisting with demand fulfillment and customer support requirements.
  • Assist with implementation and execution of pricing, sales support, inventory control, and operational initiatives for CAT and Allied Parts and related aftermarket support services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, operational consistency, inventory processes, and overall departmental effectiveness while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and company operational standards.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, training, and support for Parts Operations personnel by establishing clear expectations, promoting accountability, and fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, Caterpillar personnel, suppliers, and internal departments to support operational alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager and branch leadership to support departmental goals, operational priorities, staffing needs, and overall business objectives.
  • Ensure Parts Operations activities remain aligned with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and WCAT operational policies while maintaining a clean, organized, professional, and safe work environment consistent with 6S principles.
  • Support additional operational responsibilities, leadership assignments, and departmental initiatives as assigned.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise multiple employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
