Company Description

The In-Room Dining Assistant Food Server supports the delivery of Forbes Five-Star service by assisting Food Servers in the timely, accurate, and elegant presentation of in-room dining experiences. This role is integral to ensuring seamless service flow, proper table and tray setup, and the overall guest experience within guest rooms and corridors.

Working in a fast-paced luxury environment, the Assistant Food Server demonstrates urgency, attention to detail, and professionalism while anticipating the needs of both guests and team members. This position plays a key role in maintaining Wynn’s exceptional standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

In-Room Dining Service Execution

  • Assist Food Servers with the delivery and setup of in-room dining orders in guest rooms
  • Accurately place tables, linens, dishware, and amenities according to Wynn presentation standards
  • Support proper course pacing and service flow during in-room dining experiences
  • Remove used dishware and reset spaces efficiently while maintaining discretion
  • Ensure all orders are complete, properly presented, and delivered within established timeframes

Guest Experience Excellence

  • Provide courteous, professional, and polished interactions with guests at all times
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests within scope or notify the appropriate team member
  • Maintain a discreet and respectful presence in guest rooms and hallways
  • Uphold Forbes Five-Star service standards through attentive, detail-oriented service
  • Ensure a seamless and elevated in-room dining experience from delivery to conclusion

Service Preparation & Support

  • Assist with staging orders, organizing trays, and preparing delivery equipment
  • Ensure all necessary accompaniments (condiments, utensils, amenities) are properly set prior to delivery
  • Maintain awareness of active orders and support service efficiency during peak periods
  • Collaborate with kitchen and coordination teams to ensure order accuracy and readiness

Cleanliness, Sanitation & Organization

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, delivery equipment, and storage areas
  • Ensure trays, tables, and equipment are cleaned and reset promptly after use
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Maintain clean and presentable service areas both on guest floors and in back-of-house

Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with Food Servers, coordinators, and culinary team members
  • Respond quickly to team needs to support timely and efficient service
  • Assist with transporting trays, tables, and equipment, including large or VIP orders
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on excellence

Compliance & Brand Standards

  • Adhere to all Wynn grooming, uniform, and appearance standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working in guest areas
  • Follow all departmental procedures and Forbes Five-Star service expectations
  • Represent Wynn Las Vegas as a brand ambassador in all guest and team interactions

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–2+ years of experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or hotel operations preferred
  • Luxury hotel or high-volume service experience strongly preferred
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong guest service awareness
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs and act with urgency and precision

Licenses & Certifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards and certifications

  • Luxury resort setting with frequent exposure to guest rooms, corridors, and back-of-house service areas
