A major Federally Qualified Health Center FQHC with multi-specialty outpatient community clinics across Los Angeles County is seeking a dedicated, mission-oriented Endocrinologist for a permanent full-time opportunity in Downtown Los Angeles.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Endocrinologist who wants to provide specialty care in a community-focused outpatient setting while supporting underserved, uninsured, and medically vulnerable patient populations. The organization provides critically needed primary care and specialty care services through a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, dentists, behavioral health professionals, nurses, and clinical support staff.

The Endocrinologist will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team and provide complete clinical care to patients under the direction of medical leadership and established clinical protocols. The role includes evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, management, and follow-up care for endocrine-related conditions in an outpatient community clinic setting.

The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, patient-centered, and comfortable working within an FQHC or community health clinic environment. Candidates with prior experience in an FQHC, community clinic, safety-net healthcare organization, underserved population setting, or high-volume outpatient specialty clinic will be strongly prioritized.

Provide outpatient endocrinology care to patients in a community clinic setting.

Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage endocrine disorders and related chronic conditions.

Work closely with primary care providers, specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and clinical support teams.

Support quality care programs and assist in maintaining high standards of patient care.

Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients regarding disease management, medications, lifestyle changes, and follow-up care.

Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and linguistically appropriate care to diverse patient populations.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Collaborate with medical leadership on patient care protocols, clinical quality initiatives, and care coordination.

Support the mission of improving access to high-quality healthcare for underserved and uninsured communities.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine DO degree.

Endocrinology fellowship completed or currently in process of completion.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology preferred.

Active or eligible California medical license preferred.

Strong interest in outpatient endocrinology and community-based specialty care.

Prior FQHC, community health center, safety-net clinic, underserved care, public health, or high-volume outpatient specialty clinic experience strongly preferred.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, professionalism, and patient-centered care approach.

Comfortable managing approximately 16 to 18 patients per day in an outpatient setting.

Commitment to serving underserved, uninsured, low-income, and diverse patient populations.

Bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.

Estimated hourly compensation range: $155.00 to $160.00 per hour

Estimated annualized compensation range based on 40 hours per week: $322,400 to $332,800
