Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients visiting the showroom by understanding their needs and preferences to recommend suitable fireplace products and designs.
- Provide detailed product knowledge and design advice to customers, ensuring they are well-informed about features, benefits, and installation requirements.
- Manage and maintain showroom displays to ensure they are attractive, branded, and up to date with the latest product offerings.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including preparing sales proposals, quotes, and order documentation.
- Collaborate with contractors, designers, and architects to support project specifications and product selections.
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.
- Maintain customer databases and sales records, tracking leads and sales progress to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and innovations to continually enhance showroom offerings and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inside sales or showroom sales, preferably within home design, fireplace, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of fireplace products, materials, and design principles is highly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clientele.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency with sales software, CRM systems, and basic computer applications including Microsoft Office.
- A creative eye for design and the ability to visualize how products complement various interior styles and spaces.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in design or sales is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to occasionally attend off-site meetings or industry events as needed.
