Maintenance Technician - Electrical Focus - Nevada at Rebel Convenience Stores

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to support the upkeep of our facilities and equipment across multiple locations. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while also assisting with general maintenance needs.

This is a hands-on position that requires independence, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Maintain and repair lighting, wiring, outlets, breakers, and related systems
• Support general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repairs
• Inspect equipment and determine when servicing or additional action is required
• Complete preventive maintenance on buildings, HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, lighting, and signage
• Read and interpret service manuals and follow manufacturer procedures
• Schedule and prioritize daily work assignments
• Accurately complete reports and documentation for labor, parts, and materials
• Recommend and coordinate with outside contractors when necessary
• Assist with additional maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Participate in required training programs and certifications
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable regulations
• Provide basic operational training to team members on equipment use
• Safely perform work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in maintenance with a strong focus on electrical work
• Trade experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or similar field preferred
• Electrical certification or technical training (preferred)
• HVAC experience or certification (preferred)
• Experience with food service equipment (a plus)

Skills & Abilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism
• Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing 80+ pounds
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
• Ability to work in tight or confined spaces when needed
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Capable of frequent bending, standing, and reaching

Additional Requirements

• On-call availability for emergency maintenance (24/7 rotation)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple locations
• Compliance with all DOT regulations (including maintaining driver logs)
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment as intended

Pay for this role is targeted at $28-$32 per hour plus car/gas/tool allowances
