About the Role

The Capital Project Procurement Specialist Sr serves as Supply Chain’s primary commercial lead for assigned capital projects and customer-focused initiatives. This role partners with business leaders, project teams, and suppliers to develop and execute procurement and contracting strategies that support Entergy’s capital investment objectives.

The position is responsible for managing commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle, including sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and contract administration. The specialist plays a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and in alignment with cost, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement and commercial strategies for capital projects and customer-focused initiatives.
  • Lead sourcing activities, including bid management, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and award recommendations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance throughout project execution.
  • Oversee contract administration, governance, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business leaders, finance, legal, operations, and other stakeholders to support project success.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize value through strategic sourcing and enterprise-wide purchasing leverage.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure supplier compliance with safety standards.
  • Support storm restoration activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supplier contracting, capital projects, procurement, or supply chain management.

OR

  • 13+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in capital project procurement and contracting within the energy industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPSM, APICS, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience developing and negotiating complex capital project contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, supplier performance management, and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience with EPC, Fixed Price, and Time & Materials (T&M) contracting models.
