Pay: $52,686.40 - $73,760.96 (Dependent on education and experience)
Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Learns new tasks, remembers processes, maintains focus, completes tasks independently, makes timely decisions in the contexts of workflows, and is able to complete tasks that have a speed and/or productivity quota.
Supervision
- Effectively orients and trains supervised employees, interns, and contract staff in job duties.
- Assists Corrections Compliance and Quality Improvement Manager and other department supervisors with interview and selecting of CCQI staff.
- Develops training plan for new employees. Effectively orients and trains supervised employees in job duties. Updates the training manual in an accurate and timely manner.
- Processes payroll and handles time card issues for supervised employees.
- Monitors training attendance and ensures supervised employees meet minimum training requirements.
- Conducts effective and timely performance evaluations and processes paperwork appropriately for supervised employees.
- Effectively addresses disciplinary issues with supervised employees; accurately and thoroughly documents and processes disciplinary actions in a timely manner and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Evidence Based Practices AND CQI Implementation
- Stays knowledgeable regarding best and promising practices in community corrections, continuous quality improvement methodology, and behavioral assessments. Introduces these new practices to key Agency personnel via team meetings and/or website.
- Oversees CQI projects and deadlines. Conducts initial project review, approves project implementation, and reviews final product prior to submission to CCQI Manager.
- Oversees Project Management for CQI projects and Video Task Management through the full project life cycle including project development, monitoring timelines, and project implementation.
- Provides assistance and oversight to research projects led by Research Specialists as assigned by the Research Department supervisor.
- Assists the Research Manager/Administrator in performing program evaluation research with rigorous designs and methodologies to determine program effectiveness and program needs.
Grantsmanship
- Assists with grant preparation by providing appropriate and accurate programming, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Quality Improvement information.
- Assists with the development of goals and objectives for inclusion in grant applications in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs research duties determined by any grants that are awarded to the Agency in an accurate and timely manner.
Dissemination of Information
- Completes all assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares accurate reports as directed by the Research Manager/Administrator/CQI Manager to provide feedback to other departments and facilities in an effective manner.
- Prepares effective presentations as directed by the Research Manager/Corrections Compliance and Quality Improvement Manager to provide feedback to other departments and facilities.
- Provides effective training to internal and external staff on CQI projects and concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a social science or related field, or Bachelor’s degree in unrelated field with comparable social science background/experience. Master’s degree preferred. Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of Evidence Based Practices in Community Corrections. Experience in coaching staff or clients. Knowledge and understanding of social research and evaluation methodology. Exceptional computer skills including automated databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Must have the cognitive skills needed to complete tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for decision making, problem solving, and comprehending. Must have the ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems and multi-task without loss of efficiency or accuracy. Must be able to perform effectively and efficiently under high stress, emergencies, and conflict situations. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, a diverse client population, and outside contacts.
