THE ROLE
The Toledo Complex includes both the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, and this role provides operational support across both locations. The HR Assistant will work closely with cross-functional teams to support recruiting, hiring, and team member experience, helping ensure smooth operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with HR compliance efforts by helping maintain records and supporting reporting requirements related to government, labor, and company policies.
- Provide support in preparing documentation to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws under the guidance of HR leadership.
- Support employee onboarding processes, including but not limited to new hire orientation, paperwork completion, credential distribution, and first‑day coordination.
- Assist with checking in team members for game days and special events, supporting attendance tracking, timekeeping accuracy, staff readiness, and serving as an initial HR point of contact for questions or issues during events.
- Assist with employee relations activities, including responding to employee inquiries, participating in employee appreciation events, documenting concerns, and maintaining confidentiality while learning best practices for conflict resolution and policy application.
- Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general compliance training.
- Maintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management.
- Adheres to the Legends Global and venue company policies.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates throughout the Toledo Complex, including warehouse, dock, storage, kitchen, concessions, and event spaces. Team members may work indoors and outdoors depending on event needs. The role may require exposure to varying temperatures, including coolers, freezers, outdoor weather conditions, and high-volume event environments.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS
All team members are expected to practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
Team members must:
- Operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Clean spills and hazards promptly.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Report all workplace injuries and illnesses in the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day the incident is reported.
