Security Guard at Mittera Creative + Tech

Mittera is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our manufacturing facility, employees, visitors, and assets. The Security Guard will monitor premises, control access, conduct patrols, and respond to security incidents

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the facility, warehouse areas, parking lots, and perimeter to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Control access to the facility by verifying employee badges, visitor credentials, and Sensitive Intellectual Property (SIP) deliveries & shipments
• Enforce company security policies and processes
• Conduct regular inspections of doors, gates, alarms, and surveillance systems
• Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents
• Write accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Coordinate with supervisors, management, and emergency responders when required
• Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations and lockdowns
• Observe and report suspicious activity
• Maintain a professional and courteous presence with employees, contractors, and visitors
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous security experience preferred; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Valid security guard license or certification
• Ability to remain alert and focused during extended shifts
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physically capable of walking, standing, and patrolling for extended periods
• Basic computer skills for report writing and access control systems

Physical Requirements

• May require standing or walking for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. if required
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Work Environmental Factors

• Full-time position with some flexibility required for urgent projects
• Climate-controlled production environment
• May involve exposure to machinery noise and heated equipment
