About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) to join our private neurology practice. This specialized role focuses on performing high-quality nerve conduction studies (NCS) and collaborating directly with our neuromuscular specialist during needle electromyography (EMG) evaluations.

We are a busy outpatient neurology practice seeking a full-time Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) to join our growing team. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care and Preparation

  • Gather patient clinical histories to provide context for electrophysiologic testing.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the testing process clearly and ensuring comfort throughout the examination.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to promote a positive patient experience.

Clinical Testing

  • Perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) in accordance with established clinical standards using Cadwell Sierra Summit equipment.

Real-Time Analysis

  • Evaluate study findings during testing and adjust the examination by performing additional nerve conduction studies as clinically indicated.

Physician Assistance

  • Assist neuromuscular specialists during complex needle electromyography (EMG) evaluations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare comprehensive electronic reports detailing study findings for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation.

Operations & Logistics

  • Perform equipment maintenance, data entry, sanitation procedures, and medical supply inventory management.

Qualifications

Required Certification

  • Active Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) certification through ABEM.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of human neurophysiology and peripheral nerve anatomy.
  • Thorough understanding of clinical electrical safety standards and protocols.

Patient Care & Communication

  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and reassuring patients throughout testing.
