The Role
As a Freight Broker, you will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. You’ll also work on projects related to handling pricing and capacity for specialized moves.
The is a fully in-office position, based in Denver and very accessible by transit.
What you’ll do on a typical day
- Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight
- Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process
- Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues as necessary
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times; use discretion and insight when considering all factors affecting timeframe, including weather, traffic, etc.
- Follow established procedures and protocols regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure the integrity of the shipment and the brand
- Accurately maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems
- Conduct research in available databases for potential leads; make cold calls to prospects
- Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure that carrier charges are accurate

Nice to have
- Experience in transportation or logistics
- Experience coordinating over-dimensional or heavy-haul loads
- A background in sales, account management, or customer service
- Proven success negotiating rates, timelines, or customer solutions
The Details
- Location: Full-time onsite in Denver.
- Interview Process: Three rounds, including at least one onsite interview.
- Compensation: Strong base salary + benefits on day 1 = expected average 1st year compensation between 55k to 70k (highest achievers do more as there is uncapped commissions)
