Director, Project Management

Las Vegas, NV or Orlando, FL | On-site | Full-time | $106,000 to $128,000/year

Great live events feel effortless. Making them feel that way is the job.

Behind every flawless general session, keynote, and broadcast is a project management team that plans relentlessly, catches problems before they surface, and stays calm when the stakes are highest.

At LMG, that team is ready for its next leader.

As Director of Project Management, you'll shape how we deliver live event experiences across the country. You'll build and develop the people who run our shows, sharpen the way we operate, and stay close enough to the work to help solve the hard problems yourself. It's a role for someone who loves both the craft of production and the craft of growing a team.

What you'll own

Build and grow the team. Recruit, mentor, and develop project managers into confident production leaders. Create the onboarding, career paths, and succession plans that make LMG a place people build long careers.

Run operations at scale. Oversee project manager assignments and resource allocation, partnering with Labor Logistics to balance workloads across a full calendar of events. Keep our standards, processes, and best practices sharp and consistent.

Lead show execution. Guide project managers and technical teams through every phase of production, from planning to closeout. Review operational readiness, step in on the complex challenges, and make sure every event lands at the standard our clients expect.

Raise the bar on quality. Evaluate workflows and quality controls, then put in place the improvements that make execution more consistent and efficient. Lead post-show reviews that turn customer feedback and lessons learned into real change.

Partner across the business and with clients. Work with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Account Management, and Executive Leadership to strengthen delivery and staffing. Join site visits and venue walkthroughs, support proposals and technical presentations, and help shape the solutions that win and deliver world-class events.

What you bring

  • Progressive leadership experience in live event production, AV technology, or a closely related operational field
  • A track record of leading managers or high-performing teams, developing talent, and building strong culture
  • Deep knowledge of live event operations, production logistics, and technical execution
  • Strong strategic planning and operational management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including at the executive level
  • A history of improving processes and leading change across teams
  • A real focus on clients and a high bar for the experiences you deliver

Why LMG

  • Influence operational strategy, talent development, and how projects get delivered across the business
  • Build and mentor the next generation of production leaders
  • Work alongside experienced leaders who value innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
