This Opportunity is for a HR -- Supervisor -- Employee Relations with a work location in Jackson, MS.

The Employee Resources Director functions in an independent manner providing supervision and support over a variety of complex and difficult professional Human Resources duties. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing agency employee resources and support programs and procedures within statewide policies. The position will ensure work of the unit is done in compliance with relevant federal and state laws. The position is responsible for assisting in the training, coaching, mentoring, performance assessment/reviews, and employee development of a team of HR Team Leads and HR Generalists. Directly supervise the team of benefit coordinators, oversee the new hire orientation, ensuring the efficient and effective processing of all onboarding and offboarding employees, ensure that MDCPS employees are provided with necessary resources and supports, and act as a liaison with external entities, providers, vendors, and other health plan and employee benefits representatives. The incumbent will also be responsible for performing quality checks of onboarding and offboarding data, benefits-related data, providing support to the benefits coordinator by assisting employees with benefits claim issues and plan changes. Assist managers with staffing needs through employee selection processes and interviews. Works on project teams both within designated program areas and other Human Resource program areas toward enhancing statewide HR programs.
