Seeking a Senior Operations Consultant with extensive Loan Operations experience to support strategic consulting engagements across the asset management and alternative investment industry. This consultant will provide both hands on operational support and subject matter expertise while leading operational improvements, onboarding initiatives, and complex issue resolution activities.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise across syndicated loans, private credit, CLOs, CDOs, and other structured credit products, while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to enhance operational processes and support business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Operations Leadership

  • Lead complex loan administration activities across multiple portfolios.
  • Oversee asset setup, maintenance, and operational controls.
  • Review and oversee loan trade processing and settlements.
  • Lead processing of agent notices and corporate actions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across the complete loan trade lifecycle.

Reconciliations and Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily cash and position reconciliations.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex reconciliation breaks.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with custodians, counterparties, and internal teams.
  • Monitor operational controls and recommend improvements.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop and maintain operational procedures.
  • Create KPI and MIS reporting packages.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support operational transformation initiatives.
  • Lead onboarding of new clients, products, and operational workflows.
  • Mentor junior consultants and provide operational guidance.
  • Partner with Operations, Technology, Fund Accounting, and external service providers to ensure successful delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10+ years of experience within Loan Operations, Loan Administration, Middle Office, or Fund Operations.
  • Extensive experience supporting:
    • Syndicated Loans
    • Bilateral Loans
    • Private Credit
    • Private Debt
    • CLOs
    • CDOs
    • Credit Funds
  • Strong understanding of complex investment products and operational workflows.
  • Extensive experience with loan settlements and operational controls.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational initiatives and process improvements.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Solvas
  • ClearPar
  • DTCC
  • Euroclear
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office Suite
