Transfer Station Laborer/Sorter - Cape Coral Area at Waste Pro USA

This position is responsible for general labor duties including maintaining the building and grounds for the Waste Pro Transfer Station facility.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsibility for general building maintenance.
• Responsibility for maintaining cleanliness of facility including restrooms, storage areas, garages, and grounds.
• Walks property to check for repairs.
• Removes environmental hazards.
• Parking lot maintenance -cleans and maintains a safe parking lot and outlying property.
• Maintains the ground foliage including grass, plants, and trees. Mows grass, trims trees, weeds flower beds, edges borders, and cleans gutters as needed.
• Paints specified areas as determined.
• Assisting with tipping floors safety protocol -- spotting all trailers while following specified safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform labor work
• High School education/GED or equivalent preferred
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently
