Project Facilitator-Community Coalition at Sonoma County Office of Education

Under the direction of program leadership (e.g., Project Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Specialist, Director, or designee), the Project Facilitator supports the organization, planning, and implementation of Community Coalitions and Welcoming Schools initiatives. This role focuses on providing instructional expertise, program support, coalition development, and school climate improvement services. The Project Facilitator collaborates with internal teams, school districts, community partners, and families to assist in delivering high-quality educational services, resources, and inclusive learning environments that support positive outcomes for all students, including LGBTQIA+ students, students from historically marginalized backgrounds, and their families. The Project Facilitator demonstrates experience working collaboratively with LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as with students and families from historically marginalized backgrounds, to foster affirming, culturally responsive, and equitable educational environments. Education: -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. -Master’s degree is desirable. Experience: -Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a K–12 setting. -Experience with Welcoming Schools curriculum preferred. -Experience in coaching, mentoring, facilitating professional development for school climate, inclusive, and belonging initiatives is preferred. Credentials: -A valid California Clear Teaching Credential is required. -Master’s Degree is desirable.

Other requirements: -Must be fingerprinted and a satisfactory Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation records checks must be received by the Sonoma County Office of Education, prior to employment. -Proof of TB test will be required upon employment. -A mandatory disclosure by all former employers for the AB2534 must be completed prior to employment.
