About The Opportunity

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting operations through the fulfillment of parts orders, preparation of quotes for parts and accessories, coordination of shipping and receiving activities, and inventory management.

As a Procurement Specialist, You Will

  • Plan, create, and enter company purchase orders via MRP order process and warehousing orders,
  • Manage strong vendor relationships and provide liaison services between internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Formalize strategic planning and procurement procedures for continuous process improvement
  • Research and vet ideal vendors and parts/lines; advise cost effectivity and best quality alternatives as necessary
  • Negotiate cost and ensure spending aligns with organizational goals
  • Own the inventory process, including stock level/inventory cycle count, vendor pricing and ERP pricing accuracy
  • Assist as needed in shipping and receiving tasks, unloading, staging, etc.
  • Maintain open, clear line of communication with internal customer/stakeholders (Customer Service team, Sales team, Service team) on inventory procurement/delivery/availability.

About You

The Procurement Specialist opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 2+ years' experience in material procurement/buying or similar position, preferably in an industrial, distribution, or warehouse setting
  • Background in Manufacturing or Industrial Supply Chain
  • Strong experience in a customer-facing role with providing inquiry assistance (parts research, lead time/expected ship dates, inventory availability, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel ability (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
  • Proficient in Infor ERP LN or equivalent SAP ERP/inventory management system
  • Experience entering and processing a high volume of purchase orders with a wide variety of parts/products
