Hands Plus Physical Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Santa Clarita, CA! Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Provide direct patient care focused on improving daily living skills, fine motor function, and upper extremity rehabilitation
  • Document patient progress, treatment notes, and goal updates accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to adjust and progress patient care plans
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming therapy environment
  • Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and clinic initiatives

Requirements

  • Active COTA licensure in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current NBCOT certification in good standing
  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy setting is a plus
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinic environment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
