Position Overview

This onsite role, based in our Tucson, AZ facility, plans, sets up, and executes validation tests for thermal and cooling systems, then analyzes results and delivers recommendations to Product Design teams. As an entry-level member of a small Cooling and Machine Validation team, the engineer initially supports experienced Cooling Engineers with test setup and execution, taking on greater ownership of test planning and project delivery as capability is demonstrated.

Key Responsibilities

● Review designs and develop test plans in collaboration with Cooling Engineers and Machine Validation Engineers

● Prepare and set up test instrumentation (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, etc.)

● Coordinate with Machine Engineers on machine availability and assist with troubleshooting as needed

● Execute tests with or without machine operators present

● Analyze test data and communicate results and recommendations to Product Design teams

● Participate in test planning and documentation meetings, largely conducted via teleconference with Design teams

● Support senior Cooling Engineers by overseeing test setup and execution, progressing toward independent ownership of projects over time

Team & Work Environment

● Part of a team of approximately 20 engineers and 7 agency workers, covering sound and cooling test disciplines

● Hands-on, collaborative role performed in test bays and outdoors

● Work hours flex around the test schedule

Requirements

Education & Experience

● 5–7 years of relevant experience

● BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with coursework in Thermodynamics/Fluid Dynamics (e.g., Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering)

Salary expectations: 65,000-75,000 per annual
