Job Objective: The Leasing Agent’s goal is to scout potential prospects, present and lease properties to the prospects. Assist in ensuring a quality product is consistently being presented on all aspects of the property.

Compensation: $17 - $20+ Per Hour. Leasing bonuses.

Essential Job Functions

  • Rent/Lease Apartments
  • Present property and amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
  • Determine needs of prospective customers
  • Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
  • Run and Verify application data (employment, rental) & informing applicants of results
  • Recording and updating details of prospective residents into the database consistently and efficiently
  • Conduct Daily property walks
  • Assist Community Manager in Resident Retention Stratigies
  • Implement leasing and marketing strategies
  • Assist in presenting a well-maintained quality product (both interior and exterior)
  • Inspect and document vacating units for condition left by resident
  • Inspect and document vacant homes for condition and to ensure they are rent ready per company standards
  • Inspect grounds, models, and community office daily
  • Organize resident retention functions including parties and newsletters
  • Accept rent payments, deposits and other applicable monies
  • Addressing resident questions/concerns professionally and efficiently
  • All other tasks as assigned

Education: High school diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Experience: Management and/or apartment leasing experience preferred (not required).

Equipment: Position requires individuals to furnish their own vehicle to pick up supplies and perform other duties as necessary.

Attendance/Schedule

Regular work schedule for this position will be 5 days (Typically Tuesday – Saturday) a week 8:00 AM to 5 PM (hours vary depend on the location). The individual must be punctual and accountable. This position requires ability to work any day of the week, any week of the year and to serve on call as necessary. The individual must attend all training classes and meetings as scheduled.
