We have an exciting opportunity for a Cannabis Cultivation Technician to assist with the coordination of all grow operations in a controlled agriculture environment. The Cannabis Cultivation Technician will join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri cannabis market into a reality.

The Cannabis Cultivation Technician will work out of our Rock Hill, MO warehouse. This opportunity will start at $18/hour, with the schedule being Monday-Thursday with occasional weekends.

The Cultivation Technician exists to execute daily cultivation tasks in alignment with production plans and established standards across both vegetative and flowering operations. This role is responsible for performing plant care, sanitation, and documentation activities with consistency and accuracy. It is accountable for completing assigned work on time, following SOPs, and maintaining plant quality within assigned areas. By executing tasks reliably and to standard, this role supports consistent production outcomes and overall operational efficiency. This position is responsible for upholding Proper Cannabis’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives .

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned plant care tasks including propagation, transplanting, pruning, training, and harvest activities as directed.
  • Executes watering, feeding, and crop maintenance practices according to established procedures.
  • Monitors plant condition and reports abnormalities or concerns to leadership.
  • Completes assigned tasks within expected timeframes and according to daily production plans.
  • Follow direction from Leads and Assistant Managers to support production priorities.
  • Maintains productivity and focus throughout assigned work periods.
  • Maintains clean, organized workspaces to prevent contamination and ensure efficient operations.
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with SOP’s .
  • Follows all hygiene and sanitation requirements before and during production activities. Accurately records required data including plant tracking, material usage, and task completion.

  • Ensures all documentation is completed correctly and on time.

Requirements

  • Great attitude and ability to follow direction, learn quickly and gain an understanding of the broader cultivation process
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Passion for cannabis
  • Must submit fingerprints and pass criminal background check to obtain Missouri Agent ID card
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • 1 year of experience in commercial cannabis or related field

Preferred

  • Prior cultivation experience in a cannabis cultivation setting, working with a large volume of plants.
  • Horticulture/Plant Science degree

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Walk, stand, stoop, bend/crouch and climb up and down stairs, ladders & scaffolding
  • Lift 50 lbs
