Job Title: 2026 Portfolio Management Program
The Portfolio Management Program (PMP) is a Blackstone Finance development program designed to build finance and operational talent while supporting CFO teams across Blackstone portfolio companies. The program will start in Fall 2026 and begins with an immersive three- to six-month training period at Blackstone’s New York office with hands-on experience working within the Finance – Portfolio Management organization in FP&A or Valuations. The training period is followed by two to three years of rotational assignments on location at various Private Equity, Infrastructure, Energy, Growth, and Tactical Opportunities portfolio companies.
The program offers opportunities for career growth through broad exposure at portfolio companies in multiple industries. During each assignment, participants will live and work in different geographic regions while building financial skills and gaining exposure to key business and financial leaders. Location of assignments are domestic but specific locations vary depending on need and availability.
Program participants are given significant responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to business results. Post-program potential career opportunities include a role at a portfolio company, a position within Blackstone, or additional rotations at other portfolio companies. Note that successful candidates are not guaranteed employment for any specific period of time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete structured onboarding and technical training covering financial modeling, valuation, financial statement analysis, performance reporting, IPO readiness, advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Capital IQ, and Blackstone internal systems
- Complete a minimum of two portfolio company rotations, generally twelve to fifteen months each, supporting finance and/or operations priorities based on portfolio company needs
- Support strategic, operational, and transaction-related initiatives, including FP&A, corporate development, IPO preparation, risk management, merger integration, and operational improvement efforts
- Partner with portfolio company management teams and collaborate with Blackstone Finance, Deal, and Asset Management professionals on key business priorities
- Participate in formal mentorship, annual program conferences, and networking opportunities across the Blackstone platform
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong execution while representing Blackstone within portfolio company environments
Qualifications
- Willingness to relocate throughout the United States based on business and portfolio company needs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a quantitative discipline (preferred) and a strong academic record
- 2+ years of work experience in FP&A, deal advisory, consulting, corporate development/strategy, corporate rotational programs, or corporate banking
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate in dynamic, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with limited oversight
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Expected annual base salary range
$155,000 - $155,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
