Position Summary
The Shipping, Receiving & Parts Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in keeping the dealership's Parts and Service operations running efficiently. This position is responsible for receiving and processing incoming inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining an organized warehouse, and supporting the Service Department through the Parts Will Call counter.
In our dealership, this is much more than a warehouse position. As an integral member of the Parts team by ensuring inventory accuracy, helping technicians quickly obtain the parts they need, maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse, and providing exceptional internal customer service that keeps repairs moving and customers riding.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders and vendor invoices.
- Accurately process incoming inventory into the dealership management system.
- Identify and document shipping discrepancies, shortages, damages, or overages and process claims as necessary.
- Prepare, package, and process all outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and other shipping providers.
- Coordinate freight pickups and complete all required shipping documentation.
- Maintain timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments.
Parts Warehouse Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and accurately stocked warehouse environment.
- Properly label, stock, rotate, and store inventory to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Monitor inventory organization and identify opportunities to improve workflow and storage.
- Ensure warehouse safety standards are consistently maintained.
Parts Will Call & Service Support
- Support the Service Department by accurately pulling and staging parts for repair orders.
- Process Parts Will Call transactions and service billing accurately.
- Assist technicians in locating and distributing the correct parts needed to complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain organized Will Call inventory to ensure parts are readily available when needed.
- Help minimize technician downtime through timely and accurate parts support.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Parts, Service, and Sales departments to ensure efficient dealership operations.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, coworkers, and internal customers.
- Assist with stocking showroom merchandise and maintaining Parts Department presentation as needed.
- Complete additional assignments and special projects as directed by dealership leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or parts department experience preferred.
- Powersports, automotive, or dealership experience is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency with inventory or dealership management systems preferred.

Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires the ability to:
- Lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and move throughout the workday.
- Operate warehouse equipment and safely handle merchandise.
- Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions as business needs require.
Working Conditions
This position works in a dealership warehouse and service environment and may occasionally be exposed to:
- Gasoline, oils, lubricants, cleaning chemicals, and battery acid.
- Motorcycle parts, equipment, and moving vehicles.
- Exhaust fumes and airborne particles.
- Moderate warehouse and shop noise.
Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used whenever required.
