JOB SUMMARY

Assists management with administrative support, responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, administers employee benefits, and maintains personnel records and performs clerical duties as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of a branch office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for all administrative functions within the branch.
  • Responsible for preparation of reports and correspondence as well as incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Purchases and maintains all branch office supplies and materials as needed.
  • Sorts, alphabetizes, and files roofing literature, purchase orders and other items
  • Operates and maintains all office machines and duplication equipment.
  • Responsible for manual checkbook and petty cash.
  • Responsible for fleet log update via the computer
  • Answers telephone, transfers calls to appropriate persons, records messages.
  • Greets customers coming into the office and directs them appropriately.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Well organized person with strong administrative and good interpersonal skills. Ability to handle a large number of administrative duties.

Education and Experience:

  • Education equivalent to completion of the 12th grade.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in general office practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic elements of English language usage, spelling, and arithmetic.
  • Ability to perform routing clerical and office functions.
  • Ability to utilize computers including word processing programs.
  • Knowledge of office methods, practices, and procedures, and ability to make mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships as part of a team effort with those contacted in the performance of duties, to include all other employees and customers.
