Accounting Clerk. This full-time position is based at our office in Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The offered salary for this position is $45 - $55 USD per hour, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate management of invoices, payments, and financial records.
• Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into our accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date financial files and records.
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate with clients and suppliers regarding billing and payment enquiries.

Qualifications And Skills

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar financial role.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• An associate's degree or relevant certification in Accounting or Finance is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) would be an advantage.
