As a Senior Regional Director, Operations, you'll lead a high-performing region of Maverik stores, partnering with District Managers to drive operational excellence, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you'll provide strategic leadership across a large multi-unit retail operation, develop future leaders, and champion initiatives that improve performance and strengthen our culture. The Senior Regional Director ensures Maverik stores consistently execute at a high level while creating an exceptional experience for both customers and team members.
Location/Schedule
This role is based in Iowa and requires approximately 50% travel within the assigned region. The Senior Regional Director will spend significant time in the field visiting stores, partnering with District Managers, and supporting teams to drive operational excellence and business results.
What You’ll Do In This Role
- Provide leadership to direct reports, including, but not limited to, hiring, training and development.
- Actively pursue and maintain ultimate accountability for regional sales, profit goals down to the district and store level, ensuring objectives are met.
- Support the development of and implement company initiatives, business plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Vice President, Retail Operations & Chief Retail Officer (CRO).
- Ensure strategies, processes and procedures are followed, driving consistency across the entire retail footprint to support operational excellence.
- Direct District Managers in developing and implementing best practices, measuring operational efficiencies, continuously improving productivity, and achieving operational standards.
- Execute succession planning, workforce planning, and professional development initiatives across the region.
- Instill a culture of accountability for P&L management, customer experience, coaching, engagement, and teamwork.

You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:
- 12+ years of retail management experience in progressively responsible roles within a recognized, reputable multi-site retail organization(s), demonstrating best-in-class operational practices.
- 7+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience with P&L management and budget development preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environment, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and be able to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
Bonus Points If You Also Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business Administration, preferred.
- MS or MBA are highly desirable.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:$186,000-$229,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
