KRUSH Tech is seeking a knowledgable General Counsel to establish and lead the legal function for our U.S. operations. This is a unique opportunity to join an international defense technology company at the early stages of its U.S. expansion and play a critical role in building the legal, regulatory, and compliance foundation of the business.

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, helping the company navigate the highly regulated U.S. defense and aerospace environment while enabling sustainable business growth. This role combines legal expertise with commercial thinking and requires close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor for all U.S. legal, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, manufacturing, subcontracting, licensing, and strategic partnership contracts.
  • Advise on U.S. defense procurement, government contracting, and regulatory compliance to support business growth in the defense sector.
  • Lead compliance with export control and national security regulations, including ITAR, EAR, export licensing, technology transfer, FOCI mitigation, and CFIUS requirements.
  • Establish corporate governance, legal risk management, internal approval processes, and Board governance for the U.S. entity.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic legal guidance, support international expansion, and enable compliant, sustainable business growth.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including leadership of legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions in a fast-paced, technology-driven or highly regulated organization.
  • Significant experience as an in-house counsel or General Counsel.
  • Prior legal experience in defense, aerospace, drones and unmanned systems, defense electronics, military technology, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. defense procurement, government contracting, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with ITAR, EAR, export control compliance, technology transfer, FOCI mitigation, CFIUS reviews, and Facility Security Clearance (FCL/CFL) processes.
  • Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and commercial advisory skills.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive advisory skills.
