Description of Position

Applies the nursing process through assessment, formulating nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients during the immediate post-operative period, following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center. Works collaboratively with ancillary nursing personnel, and promotes teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications and Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Minimum one (1) year critical care and/or post anesthesia nursing experience required; medical/surgical nursing experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position. Must complete Post Anesthesia Care Unit orientation manual within one year of employment. Completion of a basic critical care course, or equivalent, required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required with retraining once every two years. Basic working knowledge of computers is highly desirable.

Starting Hourly Range

$49.53 — $62.22
