About the Role
The AI Specialist role supports the adoption, implementation, and optimization of AI tools and workflows across the Pacific Division. This role reports to the AI Acceleration Team Director and partners closely with operational, administrative, and business teams across Hawaii, Guam/Micronesia, and MSP to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements and support the integration of practical, scalable solutions.
The AI Specialist operates in a cross-functional, hub-and-spoke model, working both centrally and alongside business units to translate operational needs into AI-enabled solutions. This position plays a key role in advancing how AI is applied across the division, enhancing efficiency, improving decision-making, and enabling teams to work smarter.
What you’ll do
- Support the development and execution of AI initiatives across the Pacific Division.
- Coordinate across business units to align AI efforts with divisional priorities and operational needs.
- Track project milestones, risks, and outcomes across multiple AI initiatives.
- Document best practices, implementation approaches, and lessons learned to support scalability.
- Partner with all key functional areas including operations, HR, finance, commercial, safety, accounting, IT, and administrative functions to identify and prioritize AI opportunities.
- Serve as a connector between business stakeholders and technical resources.
- Support collaboration and co-creation of AI-enabled solutions across business units.
- Drive adoption of AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Develop training materials and practical use cases tailored to operational teams.
- Provide hands-on support and coaching to employees integrating AI into workflows.
- Gather feedback and refine enablement efforts.
- Analyze business processes and recommend options for increased efficiency through automation and AI.
- Assist in documenting current and future-state workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators and measure the impact of AI implementations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across AI-enabled processes.
- Collect and analyze data related to AI adoption, usage, and business impact.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Maintain dashboards and performance metrics.
- Communicate project updates and key findings to business partners.

You have these skills
AI & Technology Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of AI use cases in business operations and productivity.
- Interest in emerging technologies and digital transformation.
- Experience with productivity software, collaboration tools, and data analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Business process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Change management or training support.
- Presentation development and stakeholder communication.
And these qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, project coordination, technology, product support, business analysis, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Routine travel as required.
The annual salary range is posted for this position in Hawaii. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
