Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 3:30pm. It is also required to be available to respond to emergencies after hours.

FLATS LLC, a ProperXPM company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and

help maintain our 202-unit apartment community in Pilsen. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on

maintenance experience in residential properties who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of

Requirements

  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders promptly and effectively.
  • Perform maintenance tasks in vacant units to prepare them for new residents ("apartment
  • turns").
  • Maintain common areas of the building, including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and
  • amenities.
  • Conduct pool and seasonal amenity maintenance, including cleaning and basic equipment
  • checks.
  • Identify and resolve minor plumbing and electrical issues.
  • Perform light carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and general building repairs.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Maintain the property’s exterior, including trash pickup and snow removal.
  • Respond to on-call, after-hours maintenance emergencies on a rotating schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all areas meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager and other team members to ensure timely completion
  • of tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests during maintenance visits.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in apartment or building maintenance, or a related trade.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, bending, kneeling,
  • etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
