Finance & Accounting Specialist( Mandarin Speaking) at FiLMax Tech Inc
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our growing U.S. team. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, accounts receivable management, financial reporting, tax compliance, and cross-border financial coordination with our headquarters in China.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Mandarin, possesses strong knowledge of U.S. accounting and tax regulations, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Manage the company's full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist with year-end audits and support tax return preparation.
Maintain accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
2. Sales Receivables & Collections
Manage customer Accounts Receivable (AR) and monitor collection status for sales orders.
Process and reconcile customer payments received through multiple payment methods, including:
Credit Cards
ACH
Wire Transfers
Checks
Work closely with the Sales team to follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
Reconcile daily credit card settlement reports to ensure accurate cash receipts.
3. Tax Compliance
Assist with federal, state, and local tax compliance, including:
Sales & Use Tax
Payroll Tax
Corporate Income Tax
Monitor tax regulation updates and ensure ongoing compliance.
Coordinate with external CPA firms and tax advisors for annual tax filings and tax planning.
4. Cross-Border Financial Coordination
Maintain regular communication with the Finance team at the corporate headquarters in China.
Prepare financial reports and management analysis required by headquarters.
Support intercompany accounting, cross-border fund transfers, and foreign exchange related activities.
Assist with month-end and year-end group reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification recognized in the U.S., such as:
- CPA
- EA
- or equivalent professional qualification.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and federal/state tax regulations.
- Familiarity with:
- Accounts Receivable management
- Credit card payment reconciliation
- ACH and electronic payment processing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience in the United States.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or international trading companies.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as odoo
- Experience supporting multinational companies or coordinating with overseas headquarters, particularly in China.
- Familiarity with payment gateways such as Stripe, Square, Authorize.net, or similar platforms.
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting is a plus.
