The Analyst, Marketing Science will play a critical role on the Marketing team in the strategic development and execution of our business intelligence and marketing systems to help our organization use and understand data both on a day-to-day basis and across various long-term strategic initiatives. The role requires end-to-end analysis work, including querying databases, managing bi-directional data integrations, designing reporting dashboards, and communicating results to management. This position supports a variety of data-driven projects across the Marketing department and broader organization, provides actionable insights and solutions to complex business challenges, and oversees project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Supports day-to-day administration of the 49ers’ data warehouse and reporting, including data monitoring and maintenance, architecture, data visualizations, reporting, and quality assurance.
- Queries and analyzes complex, high-volume data sets, generating ad-hoc and ongoing reports and dashboards to inform business decisions
- Completes regular tasks to ensure data privacy and security priorities are met.
- In partnership with the Digital Marketing team, develops target audiences for digital marketing campaigns and supports additional marketing analytics initiatives across email, SMS, mobile apps, and push notifications, including engagement recommendations and segmentation strategies for campaigns.
- Support post-event analysis from qualitative and quantitative sources to assess outcomes and drive actionable insights for future events.
- Presents findings and recommendations to all stakeholders, including executive management and third parties.
- Conducts research and creates presentation materials.
- Assists in the validation and QA of new sources of data and supports additional projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience within a Business Intelligence and/or a data warehouse environment (Snowflake preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SQL, and either Python or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
- Experience with CRM a plus (Microsoft Dynamics)
- Experience with common sports business workflows and technology processes preferred.
