We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter / Cabinet Installer with a strong background in cabinetry, millwork, and interior finish carpentry. The ideal candidate must be able to accurately measure, cut, assemble, modify, and install cabinets and architectural finish materials in commercial or residential construction environments.
This position requires attention to detail, reliable attendance, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce clean, professional-quality finished work.
- Install kitchen, bathroom, commercial, and custom cabinetry.
- Assemble and install base cabinets, wall cabinets, tall cabinets, shelving, and built-in units.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, layouts, and installation specifications.
- Take accurate field measurements and verify cabinet placement before installation.
- Level, shim, align, scribe, fasten, and secure cabinetry.
- Cut and modify cabinets, panels, fillers, trim, and millwork to fit field conditions.
- Install cabinet doors, drawers, hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other hardware.
- Install architectural millwork, casework, baseboards, crown molding, door trim, and interior finish materials.
- Use saws, routers, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry tools safely.
- Identify and correct installation issues, damaged materials, and uneven surfaces.
- Protect completed work and surrounding finishes from damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Coordinate with supervisors, general contractors, and other trades.
- Complete punch-list items and final adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a finish carpenter, cabinet installer, millwork installer, or casework installer.
- Cabinetry installation experience is required.
- Ability to measure, cut, assemble, modify, and install cabinets independently.
- Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and installation standards.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout work.
- Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, and cabinet layouts.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including miter saws, table saws, circular saws, jigsaws, routers, drills, and nail guns.
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry cabinets, tools, and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a construction crew.
- Must follow all jobsite safety requirements.
