Role Overview

The position involves providing nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, Mother/Baby, and SCN units at two hospitals. The role requires flexibility to float between departments, with full-time hours of 36 per week, including day shifts and rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care across pediatric units
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety and clinical standards
• Adapt to various pediatric care settings as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• One to two years of PICU and NICU experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred within five years if highest degree is an associate
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current BLS certification; PALS and NRP certifications within six months of employment

Key Duties

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Ensure safety and comfort of pediatric patients
• Participate in continuous professional development
