Accelerator Program Manager, Founders School - $200,000/year USD at Crossover

Date: 6 hours ago
City: Paterson, NJ
Salary: $100 per hour
Contract type: Full time

Traditional high schools define success by grades and standardized test results. At Founders School, success is defined by companies created, real problems addressed, and students accomplishing what most adults would deem impossible.

We seek someone capable of inspiring, pushing, and nurturing driven teenage entrepreneurs as they launch genuine businesses, become proficient in AI, and work toward ambitions typically reserved for adulthood.

If high expectations, significant autonomy, and enabling remarkable young people to reach exceptional results excite you, continue reading.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Propel day-to-day progress and momentum within your assigned student group via standups, coaching conversations, and accountability frameworks.
  • Lead weekly one-on-one coaching meetings and daily touchpoints that enable students to navigate challenges and sustain forward motion.
  • Track student activity in FounderOS, spot slowing progress before it compounds, and arrange support interventions as necessary.
  • Link students with mentors, entrepreneurs, operators, and resources that drive accelerated development.
  • Facilitate workshops, gatherings, and community activities that deepen culture and elevate performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate practical AI application and guide students in embedding AI into their ventures, operations, and strategic thinking.
  • Accompany students on 3-4 annual school trips.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering in-depth strategic business advisory as students develop their ventures. FounderOS, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and guest mentors handle that function.
  • Tolerating output beneath a student's proven capability.
  • Instructing academic coursework. The academic platform and teaching staff manage that domain.
  • Leading workshops beyond your demonstrated competencies.
  • Offering low-quality resources or connections inconsistent with Founders School expectations.

Accelerator Program Manager Key Responsibilities

Build the culture, accountability structures, and support infrastructure that allow motivated student founders to execute reliably, use AI strategically, and attain results far exceeding those of conventional educational models.

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years in leadership or high-impact contributor positions at startups, scaling companies, or comparably rigorous settings.
  • The capacity to participate meaningfully in entrepreneurial discussions and recognize when specialist input is required.
  • A demonstrable skill beyond coaching: workshop design, event orchestration, content development, community cultivation, network expansion, or equivalent value-add.
  • The presence to capture the focus of ambitious adolescents and build an environment they are eager to join.
  • The capability to communicate critical feedback in ways that enhance drive and outcomes.
  • Regular application of AI tools, with concrete illustrations of how AI enhances your productivity.
  • Availability to work on-site in New York City (relocation assistance available).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Founded or helped found a company.
  • Background coaching, mentoring, or managing programs for adolescents or emerging adults.
  • An established network of entrepreneurs, operators, investors, or advisors.
  • Startup experience in early phases where you managed diverse responsibilities and created frameworks from the ground up.
