Overview

As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will support the shaping of UKG’s future direction by partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on high-priority strategic initiatives. This role is intended for analytically strong individual contributors with early-career strategy or finance experience who can lead structured conversations, develop rigorous financial analyses, and engage credibly with VP-level stakeholders.

The Strategy Lead role emphasizes analytical ownership, financial modeling, and structured problem solving, with responsibility for leading discussions, pressure-testing assumptions, and driving clarity on complex business issues under the guidance of more senior team members.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Support corporate strategy initiatives across topics including growth strategy, portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, and value creation
  • Develop high-quality executive-level presentation materials with a strong emphasis on strategic framing, financial insight, and decision relevance
  • Lead rigorous quantitative analysis, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development to support strategic decisions
  • Conduct market, competitive, and customer analysis and translate findings into clear strategic implications
  • Structure complex problems and develop fact-based perspectives to inform executive discussions
  • Lead workstream-level discussions with cross-functional partners and VP-level stakeholders to clarify objectives, test assumptions, and align on implications
  • Own discrete analytical workstreams end-to-end, including defining the analytical approach, managing timelines, and ensuring output quality
  • Walk stakeholders through analysis, tradeoffs, and implications in a clear and confident manner

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a similar role
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience building and interpreting financial models to support strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into clear insights
  • Experience developing executive-level materials and communicating complex analyses clearly and concisely
  • Comfort leading discussions with VP-level stakeholders in a structured, fact-based manner
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience at a strategy consulting firm, investment bank, or in a corporate strategy, finance, or business operations role
  • Meaningful exposure to financial modeling, valuation, or investment analysis
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-business organizations
  • Exposure to software, SaaS, or technology-enabled business models

  • Confident, credible communicator able to lead conversations with senior stakeholders

  • Collaborative working style with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of assigned work

The pay range for this position is $115,100 to $165,450. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
