Loan Operations Specialist I at Ciera Bank
GENERAL SUMMARY
Ciera Bank has been serving Texas Communities since 1890, and we now have 8 locations. We’re looking for a full-time Loan Operations Specialist I at our Fort Worth location. The Loan Operations Specialist I is primarily responsible for general Loan Operations duties; provides back-up and assistance for other loan operations staff. Incumbent applies general knowledge of documentation principles and regulations to work performed; and works under general supervision and in compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (of Loan Operations Specialist I)
- Updates exception tracking items and upload documents to the workflow system.
- Reviews and approves relationship documentation and corresponding covenants in workflow system.
- Reviews and approves loan and collateral documentation and sets up corresponding ticklers.
- Scans and Indexes loan
- Builds and maintains loan.
- Work daily/weekly/monthly Loan Operations
- UCC exception
- Processes paid loan files including preparing release of
- Books loans; posts payments, wires, etc.
- Processes dealer loan transactions.
- Communicates with Loan Officers and Lending Assistants for inaccurate or missing documentation.
- Other duties as assigned or as necessary to ensure smooth and correct Departmental.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (of Loan Operations Specialist I)
- High school diploma or at least 1 year of experience in bank operations at a Bank or Financial Institution.
- 1 or more years’ loan operational experience preferred.
- Must have moderate knowledge of all types of all types of entity documentation.
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Ability to prioritize and meet exact deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (of Loan Operations Specialist I)
Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate the computer keyboard at an advanced skill level. Position includes moderate reading (10% or more of work time spent reading) and extensive computer usage (60% or more of work time viewing computer monitor) as well as close or highly concentrated visual work. Receive detailed information through verbal communication both in person and by telephone.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS (of Loan Operations Specialist I)
- Internal – Extensive contact with personnel throughout the Corporation.
- External – Frequent contact with customers and insurance providers to obtain or provide information and/or assistance and to resolve exception items.
- Supervision of Others – N/A
ACCOUNTABILITY (of Loan Operations Specialist I)
This position is responsible for effectively and accurately managing the exception tracking, working loan operational reports, processing paid off loans for the bank, loan booking, as well as achieving individual production goals.
The Loan Operations Specialist I has the sole responsibility to apply expertise and judgment on the quality of the loan documentation received, control over exception management, booking and analysis.
